Frequently Asked Questions
Here is the page for those answers you direly seek...
What is the best browser to use for this site?
This page is tested primarily on Mozilla 0.9.4 (for Linux),
but is also tested on Mozilla 1.4a for Windows (Beta Version).
For the common browsers, Netscape 7 is best for this site.
( It uses Mozilla. You might be using Mozilla now and not
even know it! ) If you are looking for a browser, try the stable,
near cutting edge Mozzila 1.3. Its a free download or help
beta test Mozilla 1.4a. Go to Mozilla.org
for more information about this browser. If you want netscape,
I trust you know where to find it. This site has had a few
problems with Microsoft Internet Explorer, but on the whole,
the site should work fine for IE users also. The final answer
to the question is Mozilla 0.9.4 and up.
Did you write this page yourself?
Yes. I take credit for almost every spelling error and funky table. I
say almost because I blame the mime for the others. Why do we blame mimes?
Well, thats a question for later. These pages use good old-fashion
handwritten (text editor) HTML and JavaScript.
What is HTML
HyperText Markup Language. Is your ego satisfied?
How was this page made?
OK, so its best to have a technical page for this, but this is all I have now so...
This site is hosted by Tripod. It was written on
VI, a text editor for Linux. Specifically, I use Mandrake
Linux. I prefer writing HTML by hand as opposed to using a WYSIWYG (What You See Is
What You usually don't Get) editor. But that is simply a preference. The site
has been tested primarily on Microsoft Explorer and Mozilla. If you are interested in
learning HTML or other internet like things, check out the
Web Monkey.
What is a camshaft?
Naturally, it is part of a car engine... The camshaft is responsible for making
sure valves open at the right time to let fuel/air into and exhaust out of the
combustion chamber. (It also times the valves so that they don't collide with the piston.)
Engines don't work terribly well without them. If you want
to know more about camshafts, or if you stumbled across this site while looking
for camshafts, then please go to Comp Cams.
