USS Rapier
JJMA Custom: Federation Heavy Battle Ship
The latest ship to be constructed. It still has some
light leaks
to be taken care of. Note the prominent blue nav-deflector. Though not visible,
the impulse is blue as well. Other notable features include red/orange
external-lighting, red thruster strips (not visible), and yellow vents (not visible).
This ship had additional internal lighting on the upper hull.
Class: Alpha
Resitry: 0301AXA-f
Power supply: 9V / 3V, Gen 3 control

USS Reprise, NCC-7011
JJMA Custom: Battle Medical Frigate
This ship was originally the "destroyed Enterprise", which was
a ship that we had torn apart to make battle debris. As luck
(and irony) would have it, when we were looking for a project,
this was the most sophisticated hull we had lying around. It is
arguably one of the prettiest models in the fleet now. All of it's
holes have been patched and the scars have been made into "battle
damage".
Features of note are the added windows on the saucer section. These
proved so successful, they have been used on all subsequent custom
ships. The red LEDs on the hull are dual color and may be changed to
green. These are a tractor/repulsor beam turrets.
Class: Alpha
Registry: 0101AXA-f (?)
Power supply: 3V, Gen 3 control
Construction Status: Complete
Custom Model, Enterprise A base.

USS Serpent, NCC-1107
Federation Destroyer, Movie Era
The Serpent was one of the first 3 X-classes built. It was originally
powered by 2 D-cell batteries. This proved insufficient, so 2 more
were added along with additional resistors in the control panel.
Today, the Serpent draws more power than perhaps any other model.
The serpent has always been considered one of our best overall works
by my friend and I. The two LEDs used for the front torpedo launcher
are studio perfect. This ship has two power switches: one for normal
systems and one for weapon systems. External lighting is yellow.

USS Entrise, NCC-1071
Federation Scout, Movie Era
The Entrise is built around the idea of simplicity. The ship
uses mostly green and yellow lighting. External lighting is green
while internal lighting is yellow. It is equipped with LM3909 based
running lights and features two larger yellow running lights on the
lower saucer.
Notable features are the green plasma cell at the base of the warp
engine. Of course, it is an adaptation of the pylon's mounting
hole. It is quite attractive lit and looks natural. (It is intended
as a warp efficiency booster.) The twin torpedo bay is replaced by a
single probe launcher. Also not the large yellow phase emitters (for
long range use).
Class: B (5 systems)

USS Enterprise, NCC-1701A
Federation Enterprise Class, Movie Era
The Enterprise was built as close to movie (not studio)
standards as possible. External and Internal lighting
it white and provided by incandescent bulbs. Running lights
are powered with the standard LM3909.
The model has fallen a number of times and unfortunately
has had to have had it's warp drive re-glued resulting in
a slight sag.
The model is powered by a pair of D cells.

Shuttle Var 1 / Red Shuttle
Various Shuttles, Movie Era
The Ertl/AMT Star Trek 6 Enterprise A kit came with a
bonus: a small shuttle pod. We assembled these pods into
varying configurations. Ships made included 2 standard configuarion
shuttles (var 1 and 2), a Long Range Shuttle (Red Shuttle),
a work bee, and a destroyed shuttle.
While most of the shuttles are C class (and thus have no control
panel), the var 1 has a unique Gen 1 control panel with a plug/jack
configuration. This allows the model to be disconnected and plugged into
a different control panel if needed. This was a prototype and plug
control panels did not catch on. Var 1 has 3 systems including
internal lighting, impulse engines, and LM3909 driven running lights (2).

USS Reliant, NCC-1864
The Reliant was built to movie specs. It used a unique
dual type flashing and on/off running light system (based
on two LM 3909s and a decade counter) to mimic the movie.
Due to a failure in this and other systems, the model's
electronics have been gutted and the ship is awaiting
rebuild and refit.

Power supply: (None)
Construction Status: Complete overhaul in progress

USS Excelsior, NCC-2000
Much as the Excelsior was "the great experiment"
in the movie, so it was for us. The Excelsior provided
a unique challenge: lighting up the very thin warp drive.
This was attempted in each unit with a light-conducting
plastic rod, tissue to promote light diffusion, and 3
wheat bulbs. The effect proved very pulsated. While
the rest of the ship was at or above the standards of the
time, they warp drive was not considered a success.
This model has been entrusted to a caretaker. No
pictures are available at this time.
